Troy and I met long before we started dating.  We both grew up in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  I lived on a big horse farm with my older brother Justin and my twin sister Amanda.  Troy "TJ" is one of my brother’s friends and Troy also, has a younger sister named Tiana who is my friend.  So we all grew up knowing each other because,  our house was the place to be and we always had lots of friends over to go horseback riding,  swimming,  fishing, four wheeling, etc..   So Troy and I grew up knowing each other but, Troy is 6 years older than me so as an 8 year old little brat and a 14 years old teenager we were not the obvious pairing.  But, I always had a huge crush on him.   To him, I was just his friends annoying little sister.   So fast forward about 15 years and his sister told me Troy’s birthday party was coming up.  I said invite me to that party!  Here was my chance, we were both grown up and single.  I was 23 and he was turning 29.  So she extended the invite and I don't even know if he knew I was coming or not.  Anyways, I was so nervous.  I went and got him a 15 dollar gift card to Walmart and walked into the bowling alley and handed it to him.  He was shocked and intrigued I could tell.  But, Troy is naturally a shy person and I was totally taken by him,  I was laying it on pretty thick flirting a little too hard.  I knew I had to play it cool.  So I hung back and talked with his other family who I knew well because of growing up as friends all these years.   Then the party went from the  bowling alley to the bar and we chatted and laughed  and I did the " Thriller Dance"  to impress him and it must have worked because, when I went to leave around 11pm  he asked me multiple times not to go. I said if you are still interested call me tomorrow and guess what?  He did!   And the rest is history really.    We started hanging out which turned into dating which turned into a marriage proposal, which was sweet and simple at our place down on one knee.   We got married at a beautiful golf course in Lake Geneva on April 9th 2011 and after struggling with getting pregnant for years we were finally blessed with our beautiful daughter Scout.   She is the reason for me to start this blog to share my story as a mom and wife.  She is our pride and joy and we could not be more proud.
